Midlands based restructuring, turnaround and insolvency specialist, BLB Advisory, has appointed a new Senior Manager to help support the growth of the business.
Lucy Garner, who has worked in Insolvency for nearly 25 years, joined BLB Advisory in Autumn 2023 to help support the team.
Lucy said: “I worked with Brett, the owner of BLB Advisory, many years ago, and when this opportunity came up to work with him and his team, I knew it was a good fit for me.”
Lucy began her career doing day to day insolvency case work, but quickly worked her way up the ranks to a Senior Management position.
Lucy’s new role consists of overseeing the technical team and managing the company’s portfolio of cases. One of her key tasks is to help the team with training and progression, and BLB Advisory places a great deal of emphasis on the wellbeing and development of staff.
Louise Hookham is no longer managing the technical team. She is now focused on business development along with her advisory role and supporting Brett and Lucy.
Lucy continued: “This isn’t my first Senior Manager role, having worked in a large insolvency boutique previously, and I’ve able to hit the ground running. While it’s still early days, I’m looking forward to seeing how the team progresses and I’m keen to help them in any way I can.”
Brett Barton, BLB Advisory Managing Director, said: “Work across BLB Advisory was getting increasingly busy, so I knew that the team needed to be expanded to ensure that we continue to deliver work to the high standards that we set ourselves. With Lucy’s vast experience, and with the fact that I knew her from a previous position, it was the obvious choice to bring her on board. She’s settled in really well.”
Lucy concluded: “I do love working with the team and in Insolvency, although no job today comes without its stresses. To relax my partner and I enjoy walking with our two German Shepherds. If we’re not visiting the Lake District or Scotland, we’re off somewhere else in our caravan.”
BLB Advisory has offices in Coventry, Hereford and Worcester.
