Coventry based restructuring, turnaround and insolvency specialist, BLB Advisory, has expanded through the acquisition of Hereford based Star Advise.
BLB Advisory has started 2021 with very positive news, announcing the expansion of the practice with the acquisition of Star Advise, an insolvency specialist based in Herefordshire. Whilst the two offices will continue to focus on supporting businesses within their local area, this growth means that there is now more resources and more knowledge across the company.
Brett Barton, BLB Advisory Managing Director, said: “Louise Hookham of Star Advise and I have worked together in the past, so when we were both looking to grow it seemed an obvious solution for us to combine our forces together. It also means that Rachel Ballinger will join the team as a second appointment-taking licensed Insolvency Practitioner giving us greater strength and depth. We are now a team of six and this broader experience will undoubtedly enable us to offer an even greater service to all of our clients.”
Both practices will very specifically still focus on their respective counties and it’s very important to both Brett and Louise that this regional approach remains.
Brett continued: “Louise and I both left roles at a national practice to open our own businesses as we wanted to be able to provide support to SMEs that can be difficult to achieve in larger organisations at a competitive price. This was important to us both, and our emphasis on supporting companies of all shapes and sizes won’t change.”
The expanded team of BLB Advisory still provides the same wide range of services, from simple advisory assignments, to help with raising finance, business acquisitions and disposals, business exits and assisting with financial distress. The heart of the company is to offer impartial and constructive advice that explores all the possible options, ensuring that the best outcome is found for each individual case.
